Free Image Resizer & Compressor Tool

Resize photos, convert PNG, JPEG, or WebP images, and compare file size before downloading. Your image stays in your browser.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image from your device.
  2. Optionally set a maximum width or height; the tool keeps the aspect ratio and never enlarges the image.
  3. Choose an output format and quality, create the new copy, compare sizes, then download it.

How the calculation works

The browser draws a local image to a canvas, scales it down to fit optional maximum dimensions while preserving its aspect ratio, then encodes a new copy in your chosen format and quality. The original file is unchanged.

A quick example

An image that is 2,400 × 1,600 pixels with a maximum width of 1,200 pixels becomes 1,200 × 800 pixels, with its original proportions preserved.

Common questions

Which image formats are supported?

You can open PNG, JPEG, and WebP files, then create a PNG, JPEG, or WebP copy. Browser support may vary for WebP encoding.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. This tool processes the selected file in your browser and does not send it to a SoloKit application server.

Does resizing change the original file?

No. The tool creates a separate download and leaves your source image untouched.
